This is the starting information about The 3rd Online Renju Class Tournament.
RULES
THE TOURNAMENT WILL BEGIN ON OCTOBER 3, 2002, at 4 p.m. GMT.
Each player will play 20 games in the tournament.
OPENING THE GAME:
The player will open the 10 games according to the following rule:
If the player's name is somewhere in the end of the list and he does not have 10 players below him in the list, then he/she will loop back to the top of the list.
For example, tunnet99 (No44) has to open the games for the following opponents: 45, 46, 47, 48, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.
All games must be opened with the time limit 40 days.
JOINING THE GAME:
Summary: The player opens 10 games for players listed below him, and joins 10 games of players listed above him.
DEADLINES: All games should be opened not later than 48 hours from the start of the tournament, and joined not later than 72 hours from the start of the tournament.
FORBIDDEN MOVES AND 5 IN A ROW
Feel free to use Tournament Message Board as well as Chat Board of each game window to communicate with other tournament players. The messages for referees should be sent by email. In addition they can also be posted to message board.
Please read the Tournament Messages board in our website at least once every day (if possible) to get all the information from referee or from other tournament players.
As soon as you finish any game, please send the result to the Tournament Table Manager. Please remember to include the game board number, players names and final result. That way the Tournament Table Manager can keep the tournament table updated.

All the players MUST read the tournament rules very carefully. The tournament rules are published in Tournament page.
The player will open 10 games and join 10 games = 20 games in total.
When the player opens the games, he/she has to write the opponent's name into game description.
The player opens the games for 10 players in the players list right below him. For example, gauss98 (No.16) has to open the games for players with numbers 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26. So he will open 10 games with following descriptions -
'for Andry', 'for namic_99', 'for pantrike', 'for jereman', 'for coco_yuang', 'for SergeiSita', 'for shuker', 'for farmer_', 'for Liuchao', 'for bentley.
Joining the game is very simple. The player has to go to 'join menu' and find the games where is his/her name written in description and join them.
There should be 10 games to be joined.
Exceeding this time rule may be handled by referees as a forfeited game for the player.
Since our game server is new and not fully developed, it does not have the check of forbidden moves and 5 in a row. Therefore, the players must self check the forbidden moves and 5 in a row (if occurs). The player MUST resign the game when opponent had gotten 5 in a row.
If the player plays to the forbidden point, the opponent should tell about that the player, giving him/her the chance to resign decently. If the player does not respond or refuses to resign then the opponent should turn to referees and the referees will make the judgement.
