This is the starting information about The Spring Qualification of the 5th Online Renju Class Tournament.
RULES
THE TOURNAMENT WILL BEGIN ON APRIL 12, 2004, at 4 p.m. GMT. Each player will play 20 games in the tournament - 10 games with players before him in the list, and 10 games with players after him in the list.
OPENING THE GAME
FORBIDDEN MOVES AND 5 IN A ROW
Feel free to use Tournament Message Board as well as Chat Board of each game window to communicate with other tournament players. The messages for referees should be sent by email. In addition they can also be posted to message board.
Please read the Tournament Messages board in our website at least once every day (if possible) to get all the information from referee or from other tournament players.
Below is a list of people who signed up. They have been sorted by their Renjuclass rating. And then re-sorted by special formula, to give each player about the same average difficulty level of opponents. That way the system is the fairest.

All the players MUST read the tournament rules very carefully. The tournament rules are published in Tournament page.
The list is circular, which means, for example, if the player is somewhere in the bottom of the list, and does not have 10 names below him, then he gets the missing opponents from the top of the list. For example, if player's number is 23, then his opponents are: 13-22, 24,25,26,27,28,1,2,3,4,5.
All games are opened automatically by server, so the players do not need to do anything to start them. You simply login to tournament server, and start playing.
Since our game server is new and not fully developed, it does not have the check of forbidden moves and 5 in a row. Therefore, the players must self check the forbidden moves and 5 in a row (if occurs). The player MUST resign the game when opponent had gotten 5 in a row.
If the player plays to the forbidden point, the opponent should tell about that the player, giving him/her the chance to resign decently. If the player does not respond or refuses to resign then the opponent should turn to referees and the referees will make the judgement.
